TRiO Day

TRIO Day 2013 will be at Morehead State University on February 23rd, 2013.  


TRiO Day Agenda
7:30-8:00am- Registration
8:00-8:20am- Welcome
8:30-11:30am- Student Competitions
11:30-1:30pm- Lunch (ADUC Open)
12:30-1:30pm- Campus Tours/ Concurrent Sessions
1:30-2:30pm-Campus Tours/ Concurrent Sessions
2:30-3:30pm- Awards and Closing Ceremony

Please note that Morehead State University will not be providing breakfast or lunch on TRiO Day, but food services on and off-campus will be available on TRIO Day.


Community Service Project
MSU TRIO Programs will be sponsoring a service project for students and schools from the storm damaged areas of eastern KY.  Visit the Community Service Project page for more information about this important project.


Sessions Available
The events for the day are as follows:
  • Student Initiative Competitions
  • Workshops for Students (Campus Tour, KHEAA Financial Aid Jeopardy, True Colors- Discover Your Personality, Zumba, Eat This Not That- Avoid the freshman 15, AmeriCorps- Job Opportunities, Voter Registration/Political Advocacy, Art Workshop- Mask Making, Campus Safety/Basic Self Defense, 21st Century Job Skills, What’s My Line?-Theater Improvisation, Careers in Broadcasting, or Study Abroad)
  • College Tours
  • Awards Program & TRIO Rally

Restaurants Open: 8:00am-1:30pm- Starbucks
Restaurants Open 11:30am-1:30pm- Taco Bell, Chick-fil-A, Salad Bar, Pasta Bar, & Sandwich Deli

You may park in any zone on campus that is not handicapped or reserved. 


Registration
To attend TRIO Day you need to preregister with Morehead State University TRiO Staff (with the form below) by close of business on February 15th.  All forms must be completed online.  Questions can be sent to Summer Copley, TRIO Day Coordinator at MSU.

To attend the Student Initiatives Competitions you need to register on the form below AND register for your respective competition on the individual competition page (this is an online form).

If you plan on attending this event with or without students you need to complete the Pre-Registration Form before February 15, 2013.
